01 · What we do on gutters

Clean them, protect them, or replace them.

Gutter cleaning

We clear the gutters, flush the downspouts so water runs all the way down, and take photos of anything on the roof that needs attention.

Gutter guards

Guards keep leaves and twigs out so your gutters clog less often. We'll tell you whether they're worth it for your house and the trees around it.

New gutters and downspouts

New gutters and downspouts sized to carry water off your roof and away from the foundation, plus repairs to the ones you have.

Soffit and fascia

Gutters hang on the fascia board. When it's rotted or the soffit under it is damaged, we fix that first so the new gutters hold.

02 · Why a roofer

Your gutters are part of your roof.

Most gutter cleaning is someone on a ladder with a scoop, or a power washer that can strip the granules off your shingles. We're roofers, so we treat the roof with care while we're on it, and we look it over before we come down.

What's in your gutters says a lot about the roof. A layer of gritty granules means the shingles are wearing. Water spilling behind the gutter can mean the drip edge or flashing has failed. We'll show you photos either way, and tell you straight whether anything needs doing.

02b · What we see up there

Clogged gutters, before the clean-out.

This is the kind of thing a roofer spots while cleaning, and why we check the roof while we're up there.

03 · Clean or replace?

Signs your gutters need work.

Plenty of gutters only need a good cleaning. We'll tell you which yours need.

Hail dings on gutters or downspouts may qualify for insurance-covered replacement, depending on the policy. We'll inspect the damage and tell you honestly whether it's a claim.

05 · Questions

What people ask about gutters.

Do you really check the roof when you clean the gutters?

Yes. We're already up there, so we look over the shingles, flashing and vents and take photos of anything that needs attention.

How often should gutters be cleaned?

For most houses, once a year in late fall after the leaves are down. Under big trees, twice: once in spring as well.

Do gutter guards mean I never clean them again?

No. They keep the big stuff out, so you clean less often, but fine debris and seed pods still get through. We'll tell you honestly whether guards make sense for your house.

Can you fix the wood behind my gutters?

Yes. We repair and replace soffit and fascia, and we'll fix rotted fascia before hanging new gutters on it.

Do you do siding too?

Yes. See siding, or ask about it when we're out.

Is the work under warranty?

Yes. Our 10-year workmanship warranty covers gutter work the same as a roof. If something's wrong with how we installed it, we come back and fix it.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry liability insurance and workers' comp.
